Dear Brother’s and Sister’s,

I would like to share with you the one thing, narrated by the Prophet(SAW), that differentiates the Muslim’s from anyone else: The 5 Prayer’s(Salah).

It may seem difficult to pray 5 times a day but this is our duty and responsibility as a slave and servant of God and it is a sign of being a true believer.

Allah(SWT) says in the Quran: “The believers, men and women, are protecting friends of one another; they enjoin good and forbid evil, and they establish Salah, and give Zakah, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them, and surely, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.” (Surah At-Tawbah, 9: 71)

Even the Prophet(SAW) emphasised that the Salah is what defines us as a Muslim.

Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Between a man and disbelief and paganism is the abandonment of Salat (prayer).‘‘[Muslim]

Buraidah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “That which differentiates us from the disbelievers and hypocrites is our performance of Salat. He who abandons it, becomes a disbeliever.”[At-Tirmidhi]

Shaqiq bin `Abdullah reported: The Companions of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) did not consider the abandonment of any action as disbelief except neglecting Salat.[At-Tirmidhi]

Let us all strive to establish our fundamentals and foundations with the Prayer(Salah) and Insha’Allah we ask Allah(SWT) for guidance, protection, forgiveness, and Junnah-al-Firdaus.

The prefrontal region of the brain controls motivation and movement as predicted in the Quran 1400 years ago

Dear Brother’s and Sister’s,

I would like to share with you all a verse in the Quran that explains how the forelock of the brain is the site of lying and sin, in which scientists recently discovered how the prefrontal area of the brain controls motivation to move, initiate  and plan which can be extended to the centrality of initiating a lie or a sin.

In the Quran it states, “No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock-A lying, sinning forelock.”(Surah Alaq 96:15-16).

Allah(SWT) tells us how the forelock, the prefrontal area of the brain, controls lying and sin.

It is understood that in the realm of anatomy and physiology is the center for motivation to cause movement and aggression. As stated in the text, “Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology” by Rod Seeley. If this area of the brain causes motivation and aggression it will then definitely trigger sin and lying because these results are simply by-products of motivation and aggression.

Now back to Islam. The Quran is truly the word of God because 1400 years ago the capability of this type of scholarly research and analysis in science was unfathomable.

Insha’Allah we all turn back to Allah(SWT) and ask for forgiveness, guidance, protection, and Junnah-al-Firdaus.

The importance of Salah(Prayer)

Dear Brother’s and Sister’s,

I would like to share with you the importance of one of the most fundamental concepts of Islam: Salah(Prayer).

Salah is extremely important when it comes to being a true Muslim. It provides a gateway towards spiritual enlightenment, contentedness, and peace.

In the Quran it states, “Guard strictly your (habit of) prayers, especially the Middle Prayer; and stand before Allah in a devout (frame of mind).”(Surah Baqarah, 2:238).

Allah(SWT) commands us to guard strictly to our prayers, and the Prophet(SAW) clarifies the reasoning behind it by stating how it will be the first thing that will be asked of us on the Day of Judgement.

Rasoolullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “The first thing the people will be accountable for on the Day of Judgment is prayer, Allah will say to His angels (even though he already knows) : “Look at my servants prayers. Were they complete or not?” If they were complete It will be written as complete. If they were not fully complete Allah will say: “See if my servant has voluntary prayers, If he has them Allah will say: Complete his obligatory prayers shortage with his voluntary prayers.” Then the rest of his deeds will be dealt with in the same manner.” (Reported by Imams Ahmad, Abu Dawood, An-Nisa’i, and Al-Hakim)

Insha’Allah we all turn back to Allah(SWT) and hold tight to our prayers and perform them with true conviction. Do not let this world trap you from something that is a great blessing to have. Insha’Allah we all ask for Allah(SWT) to guide us, protect us, forgive us, and grant us Junnah-al-Firdaus.

Do not ever lose hope in Allah(SWT)!!!!

Dear Brother’s and Sister’s,

I would like to share with you a very splendid and beautiful hadith about the mercy of Allah(SWT) and how he is the most forgiving. Insh’Allah we will keep turning back to Allah(SWT) for repentance because anything and everything can be forgiven.  Everybody has their pasts, but thats it, its the past not the present or future. We all need to strive to make forward progression in our lives and not let the past get to us. So do not ever lose hope in Allah(SWT) mercy and forgiveness.

The hadith is:

Allah’s Messenger (saw) said: “Allah the Most High says: ‘O son of Adam! As long as you supplicate to Me and hope in Me, I will forgive you what you have done. O son of Adam! If your sins were to reach the lofty regions of the sky, then you ask Me for forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of Adam! If you were to come to Me with enough sins to fill the earth, but you met Me not associating anything with Me I would bring you the like of it of forgiveness.” [Bukhari, 8/319]

Allah(SWT) mercy and forgiveness is unfathomable because this type of mercy does not exist anywhere. If a person transgresses and keeps on transgressing until all the transgressions can be counted up reaching towards the sky and the final result is forgiveness as long as we turned back to Allah(SWT) then why should we let one prayer slip away.

Insha’Allah we all turn back to Allah(SWT) and seek guidance, protection, mercy, and forgiveness through Allah(SWT) because it is He who can change up our fortune of our lives in this life and the next.

The sex of a baby is determined by sperm as proven and predicted by the Quran 1400 years ago

I would like to share with you another proven scientific concept elicited in the Quran: The sex of a baby.

1400 years ago people would blame mother’s for giving birth to a daughter instead of a son. However, the Quran revealed that it was the male sperm that actually determines what the sex of a baby will be to dispel these cultural myths.

In the Quran it states, “And that He creates the two mates – the male and female -From a sperm-drop when it is emitted” (Surah Najm, 53: 45-46).

In reproductive biology the process of how a baby’s sex is determined is through genetics, specifically the sex chromosomes. The female has the XX pair of sex chromosomes, while the male has the XY pair of sex chromosomes. Due to the female egg having the XX pair of chromosomes it will donate one of the X’s for the baby while the male sperm containing the XY pair can either donate an X or a Y chromosome. The fusion of the egg and sperm creates either a female, XX, or male, XY. It is clear that the sperm is the determining factor of whether or not a baby will be male or female.

Now lets go back 1400 years ago. No one had the technology or science to even prove that it was the sperm that determines the sex of a baby. It was only until a couple of decades ago where scientists capable of examining the molecular mechanics of this process was to fully prove that the sperm determines the sex of the baby.

Insha’Allah we all open up our hearts, eyes, and mind to see the wonders and majestic nature of the Quran and that we all turn back to Allah(SWT) and ask for forgiveness, guidance, protection, and Junnah-al-Firdaus.

Contradictions in the Bible: God cannot contradict himself.

Dear Brother’s and Sister’s,

Let me start by saying that I do not want to start by fighting or debating people. I would like people to open up their eyes, heart, and mind  and really question their faith. By questioning your faith, and if you truly want to find truth and be guided, you will be able to see that the Bible cannot be the true words of God due to the fact that it consistently contradicts itself. If the Bible contradicts itself then how can this be the true words of God if God is All-Mighty and will not contradict himself.

In the Quran you will not be able to find one contradiction due to the authentic preservation of the original text. In the Quran it even states to put this book to the test. It states that bring forth another book and try to imitate it. However, no other book has been able to even compare to the perfection of the Quran.

The Quran states, ” And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah , if you should be truthful.” (Surah Baqarah: 2:23).

Due to the imperfection of the bible because of the constant re translations,  insertions, polemic fabrications,  subtle forgery,  and inconsistent misrepresentation of its own words through various languages it is clear that any modern day Bible contains various sources of contradictions. However since the Quran is preserved in its original Arabic form there is not one change in it and this is a promise of God.

In the Bible there are over hundreds of contradictions, but I will only list a few and allow you to do your own research. Insha’Allah Allah will guide you towards Him.

1. Who incited David to count the fighting men of Israel?

  • God did (2 Samuel 24: 1)
  • Satan did (I Chronicles 2 1:1)

2. In that count how many fighting men were found in Israel?

  • Eight hundred thousand (2 Samuel 24:9)
  • One million, one hundred thousand (I Chronicles 21:5)

3. How many fighting men were found in Judah?

  • Five hundred thousand (2 Samuel 24:9)
  • Four hundred and seventy thousand (I Chronicles 21:5)

4. God sent his prophet to threaten David with how many years of famine?

  • Seven (2 Samuel 24:13)
  • Three (I Chronicles 21:12)

5. How old was Ahaziah when he began to rule over Jerusalem?

  • Twenty-two (2 Kings 8:26)
  • Forty-two (2 Chronicles 22:2)

6. How old was Jehoiachin when he became king of Jerusalem?

  • Eighteen (2 Kings 24:8)
  • Eight (2 Chronicles 36:9)

7. How long did he rule over Jerusalem?

  • Three months (2 Kings 24:8)
  • Three months and ten days (2 Chronicles 36:9)

8. The chief of the mighty men of David lifted up his spear and killed how many men at one time?

  • Eight hundred (2 Samuel 23:8)
  • Three hundred (I Chronicles 11: 11)

9. When did David bring the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem? Before defeating the Philistines or after?

  • After (2 Samuel 5 and 6)
  • Before (I Chronicles 13 and 14)

 

As you can see there are many inconsistencies with the Bible. Now it is up to you to decide whether God would contradict himself and be inconsistent. Although, we all know that God is All-Mighty and Perfect, thus He cannot contradict himself and be inconsistent with His words.

How to recite the whole Quran in less than 3 minutes!

Dear Brother’s and Sister’s,

I would like to share with you a wonderful hadith that tells us how we can recite the entire Quran in less than 3 minutes. Some of you may say that is impossible, but it is not because our beloved Prophet(SAW) has narrated to us a method.

‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radhiallahu anho) narrates that the Prophet Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: The Surah Al-Zilzal is equal to the half of the Holy Qur’an, the Surah Al-Ikhlas is equal to the one third of the Holy Qur’an and the Surah Al-Kafiroon is equal to the one fourth of the Holy Qur’an. (Tirmidhi: 2894)

Now if we do the math: 1/2 + 1/3 + 1/4 = 1.0833333

Technically it is a little more than the entire Quran.

These three surahs are very short and can be easily recited in 3 minutes or less.

Also do not forget that there is extra blessings and reward in just reciting a letter of the Quran:

The Prophet(sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will receive a hasanah(good deed) from it, and the hasanah is multiplied by ten. I do not say that Alif-Laam-Meem is a letter , rather Alif is a letter, Laam is a letter, and Meem is a letter.” (At-Tirmidhi).

So lets strive to read the entire Quran everyday and Insha’Allah we turn back to Allah(SWT) and ask for forgiveness, guidance, protection, and Junnh-al-Firdaus.

A sign of the Day of Judgement is construction of tall buildings

Dear Brother’s and Sister’s,

I would like to share with you some hadiths that talk about a sign of the Day of Judgement will be people constructing tall buildings. It is interesting enough that in the world we live in presently this sign has come to truth, as has other signs have.

The hadiths are:

Narrated Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu): Allah’s Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “The Hour will not be established till …the people compete with one another in constructing high buildings…” [Sahih Bukhari]

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) told us that “you shall see barefoot, naked, penniless shepherds vying in constructing high buildings.”(Sahih Muslim) This hadith describes people who become rich all of a sudden and then build not for need but only in competition.

As you can see when looking around the world is that every country has huge towering buildings now.

Insha’Allah we all come to our senses and expand our eyes and hearts to turn back to Allah(SWT). We all need to ask for guidance, protection, forgiveness, and to enter us into Junnah-al-Firdaus. The end times are coming sooner than we think and we need Allah(SWT) no matter what.

The seas cannot mix with each other as predicted in the Quran 1400 years ago

I would like to share with you ayats in the Quran that explain how the seas of this world cannot mix with each other. Now we have to remember that the Quran was revealed 1400 years ago where they did not have the technology to prove that the seas cannot intermingle. However recent oceanographer’s have proved and explained this phenomena.

In Surah Ar-Rahman it states, “He released the two seas, meeting [side by side];Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses.” (Quran: 55:19-20)

Oceanographer’s explain that due to the force of surface tension caused by the differences in density and salinity of two seas that meet a very thin barrier is produced that does not allow them to intermingle.

Benefits of Surah Yasin

Dear Brother’s and Sister’s,

I want to write about the benefits of reciting and knowing Surah Yasin.

First of all just reciting and reading Quran has so much benefit in it.

The Prophet(sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will receive a hasanah(good deed) from it, and the hasanah is multiplied by ten. I do not say that Alif-Laam-Meem is a letter , rather Alif is a letter, Laam is a letter, and Meem is a letter.” (At-Tirmidhi).

So with this being mentioned everyone should try to incorporate Quran in their lives and learn from it. Just try it at least once and slowly build upon it. The religion of Islam is powerful so don’t overdo it and burn yourself out, rather take a gradual process to do this.

So here are some hadiths on the benefits of Surah Yasin:

Anas (RA) reported Allah’s Messenger (saw) saying, “Everything has a heart and the heart of the Holy Qur’an is Yasin. Allah I will record anyone who recites Yasin as having recited the Holy Qur’an ten times.” (Tirmidhi, Darimi)

The Prophet (SalAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, ‘Whoever recites Yasin once Allah will record the reward of reciting the Qur’an ten times.’[Maqal, Tirmidhi 2812/A & Dhahabi]

Maqal ibn Yasaar Muzani (RA) reported the Holy Prophet (saw) saying, “If anyone recites Yasin for Allah’s  pleasure, his past sins will be forgiven; so recite it on those who are dying.”( Baihaqi)

Aisha (RA) reports Rasulullah (saw) saying, “Indeed in the Noble Qur’an there is a surah which, for its reader will intercede and which will be a means of forgiveness for its listener. Listen carefully, it is Surah Yasin, in the Torah it is called Muimmah.”
It was enquired, “O’ Messenger of Allah r, what is Muimmah?” Rasulullah replied, “It contains for its reader the benefits of this world, it removes from him the dread of the next life, and it is called Dafiah and Qadhiyah.”
Again it was enquired, “How is this Surah Dafiah and Qadhiyah?” Rasulullah replied, “It takes away from its reader all afflictions and fulfills his need. Whoever recites it, it will be made equal to twenty pilgrimages. Whoever shall listen to it, it will be as thousand dinars, which he has given as charity in the path of Allah I. And whoever shall write it and then drink it, it will enter into his heart a thousand cures, a thousand radiant lights, a thousand times more increase in belief, a thousand mercies, a thousand blessings, a thousand times more increase in guidance, and will remove from him all diseases.” (Tha’labi, Tirmidhi in Nawadirul Usul)

Ummud Darda (RA) reports the Noble Prophet (saw) saying, “Over no person who is about to die and Surah Yasin is read upon them but Allah I lightens the difficulties of death for him.”( Qurtubi)

As you can see that there are many benefits to reciting and knowing this Surah. So to protect ourselves and to prepare ourselves let us try to learn more about Islam and pick up the Quran more often.
